The Institute
The Government Polytechnic Gariyaband is a diploma level Technical institute funded by the Government of Chhattisgarh. It is located at 94 km away from Raipur in Raipur-Devbhog road NH-130C. The Institute started with three Engineering disciplines Civil, Mechanical & Mining in 2009. These Institute was one of the newly born institute of Chhattisgarh for Mining disciplines and currently it is one of best institute for Diploma in Mining engineering.
In 2009, for the development of technical education in distance tribal area, 23rd polytechnic was established in Gariyaband, Chhattisgarh. Initially this institute was running under the guidance of Government polytechnic Dhamtari in ITI campus in Gariyaband. The new campus of institute is in construction in Dongri village Gariyaband in 10 acres of land. The foundation level construction is completed.
At present there are 03 branches in college and 32 students are given admission in each branch and total number of intake student is 96 per year. At present there are more than 80 student pursuing diploma in this college. The Institute have highly qualified lecturers and number of supporting staff who are giving their best for developing the Institution in academic and professional education.
