Welcome to Government Polytechnic Gariyaband

Government Polytechnic Gariyaband, established in 2009 by the Government of Chhattisgarh, is dedicated to providing quality technical education in tribal, rural, and educationally backward regions. Academic activities began in2010 with the first batch of students.

Located 100 km from Raipur on NH-130C (Raipur–Devbhog Road), the institute operates from its permanent campus at Darrapara Village, Gariyaband, spread over 6.22 acres. The institute offers AICTE-approved diploma programs, affiliated to CSVTU, Bhilai, in Civil, Mechanical, and Mining Engineering, and is recognized as a leading institute for Diploma in Mining Engineering in Chhattisgarh.

With a focus on outcome-based, skill-oriented education, the institute emphasizes practical training and industry relevance. Financial support through fee exemption, scholarships, and the Book Bank Scheme ensures inclusive education, contributing to skill development and regional growth.
